Self Portrait

Hello! I wanted to have some time to start illustrating again because I miss it. I wanted to make something that I thought that was challenging, so I did this. Why my freaking face? Well its not easy at all to be self aware of your face and painting a face is not easy too. Besides I tend to mess up the grey shades, and then need to correct them, then I get bored.

Testing and upgrades 2

Yellow!

I know this hasn't been updated that often, but I've been making quick posts on facebook, so people know what's going on.
I've been fixing the silicone molds because of bad vent engineering. I was learning while testing, so I had made some mistakes.
But I'm very happy, instead of frustrated every time I got a bad cast, because I've checked in some very important points of production.
Because I know the shipping is very expensive, I've been trying to make them even lighter, each one had at least 100gr, wich is a lot for a toy. And It also had a porcelain look that I didn't like that much, and the colors were very pastel for my taste. Kriture is a reflect of my passion for surrealism, but I don't want them to look so dreamy I wanted them more vibrant, like the polymer clay colors.

The resin was too hard to cut to fix imperfections, and I had contact with toxic materials at least 30m for every cast It was dangerous and the smell was in the whole house. There is a person with cancer living with me and a close friend with my age passed out recently due to an heart attack. This made me really think about what I was doing, and trying to find a new way to do it.

I've find an answer to all this points, and the result will be posted soon, since I need to make a whole new photoshoot of the figures to launch them on the website that will be opening soon too.

The weight of each figure has reduced at least 20%, the colors will be more vibrant. I actually can fix imperfections, and now I only spend about 5 minutes in contact with toxic materials per cast.
I've also noticed this new resin must have some "elastic" proprieties because when the figure fall, it does not break, it jumps!

I've already painted some of them and I've been very proud when I look at them ^^
So for now, I will be fixing all the bad moulds and think about a way of making a good packaging for them. At the same time I've been working in the website, so I'm trying my best to make a good use of my "spare" time wich I dont have, but I make it happen somehow. "Loop" Artwork

New artwork! :)
This represents Kriture's world in a stylized way. You can read Hello World, things are fueled by a weird mechanism that keeps this world running. You can find a sky that has always ideas coming down, setting down, fauna, flora, bubbles coming out of the second layer of Kriture's world, that result from the heat of a weird liquid called imagination. You can see that this liquid is flamed by a baby bottle which switch is currently set to ON.

This happens because Kriture's concept is all around ideas coming from a girl, and are stored in a box, where life are created out of those ideas. The day this girl grows up, there will be no one fueling this world, and the baby bottle will be set to OFF.

Second Wave of Soft Kritures

Pikki & Kippi the Kritures

Name: Pikki & Kippi

What I do: Look for high places to play

Task: Train with others for a possible escape

Likes: To play badminton

Body: Lightweight, small, dark skin and fleshy red lips

Ability: Good jumper

Food: Plants

They do everything together and usually Kippi carries Pikki above, he doesn't mind because he knows Kippi would do the same for him, this is called totem behavior.

These two athletic Kritures, since the day they have found racquets, they know that they were meant to play badminton. The problem is that one of them is a lefty and other one is a right hander, so one of them have a huge tendency to loose games. This is a good way to know who's who when both are on the ground.

Resin Update

Hello there :)

As has been asked, here's some eye candy of the new resin Kritures. When my stock of clay kritures is over, it's official, all collection will be made of resin :).

For those who have the possibility to see Kriture at Mercado Quebra Costas (Coimbra) this Saturday (9 Oct) they will can purchase them there.

I need some time to finish the whole collection and take new pics so they can always be accurate to the original figure. The contest is closed and I've picked up the winner, who has amazed me with an animal from our dear planet earth!

I received some curious animals, and I say curious because they seem like a mix between several known animals, which is good for this contest.

I did know most of them, so I searched them on youtube to see the way they move and know more about them.

Some of them are very creepy, but I appreciate the individuality of each and everyone of them =D

A thing I like, is exotic animals that we could actually own and have one at our home. I really wanted to adopt an animal, but it needed him to live only in my room, because I have a bad bad cat living in the house. But it's for the best not having one because I do play a lot with toxic stuff :x

Why nobody posted birds? Birds are cool! :)

Anyway, I really love sea creatures, they really are a good source of inspiration, there were only two posts with animals that lived in water, so I picked the one I didn't knew that is.. tan tan tan!

Of course I love Axolots, Red Pandas and Loris among others posted, but I already fell in love with them for the first time a long time ago =)

Rockart Festival & outras notícias

Today's post is just for Portugal ;D

Holá pessoas! Bem vindos a este awesome post.
A Kriture foi convidada para ir ao seu primeiro festival de música Portuguesa, onde também haverá espaço para aqueles que têm a veia artística não musical. Vão lá um monte de bandas conhecidas e bowas :)
Por isso, vão lá, vejam uns concertos, bebam umas cervejas (ou não) e venham fazer-me companhia que nenhum dos meus bichos te vai morder ;)

Site do Festival

Entretanto, no mesmo dia 11, no Mercado Quebra Costas, vão estar presentes a banda Paus!! Começa às 20.00h e eu quero ver, sendo assim, vou ver o concerto e correr para a Curia para ver mais concertos (yeah). Se tudo correr bem estarei também no Mercado Quebra Costas com a Kriture.

Outras notícias extremamente importantes (lol)
- O site onde coloco os bichos à venda mudou o layout, o que é no mínimo fofinho gosto mais assim.
- Uma menina dos states pediu-me permissão para usar um wallpaper da Kriture para um jogo que ela está a desenvolver para crianças com dificuldades auditivas.

- Sobre a Kriture goes Plastic, tenho o primeira réplica com cor feita. Mas ainda estou a fazer experiências, porque gostava de as ter menos pesadas.

- O site da Kriture ainda está em construção, mas vai ser acabado este ano :)

- Peço imensas desculpas pelo corte da continuidade da história aqui no blog, o projecto é actualmente só desenvolvido por mim, de modo que não tenho tempo para fazer tudo. Faz parte do processo criativo e eu também estou a aprender :)

Test #1 Mould Casting

Just posting a quick update :)
Theese are the first casting experiments on a Wittz. They didn't turned out that much bad, considering that the original was a bad and quick sample.
Still need to work on the weight, the smell and color, takes time to find out all these kind of stuff that in the end, you really can't see the effort.

I've started making some prototypes, its very hard to achieve symmetry, and make some parts without showing that it once was made by hand. Yeah a 3D printer could be awesome, if the price for a single Kriture weren't an absurd, and you still need to sandpaper it in the end.
I'm still on testing, so I can't really tell yet what material will I use in the future, depending on the material, I still need to think if a rotocast machine would help, and build one.
There is so much work behind the scenes, you don't have idea! <3

Soft Kritures

A new community of Kritures have been found, these Kritures have fur and appear to be the same species as I am, Merilok.

They told us that they've been here for a long time, but we never saw them.
I asked them to be part of our group, to live near us, because we are building shelters and all, but they prefer to live together as a small community in another area, because their fur can be a pain in the ass if they live in areas like this one. You see, like me they are extremely cold Kritures, the fur is handy to warm us up, so we should live in warm areas, and not in areas that have climatic changes.

But because I have this great job of commanding Kritures, I don't mind living in a place where there are weather changes. Our community needs these changes, so we can all live together.

They seem to be intelligent like me, and they all have nails like Hummo or Glanell! But I don't! They told us the nails are cool to grab stuff, they do pressure on the fingertips, so I presume they need to grab heavy stuff on their daily routines.

Upgrades

I am currently working to upgrade Kriture figures. I want them to become unbreakable, and give me the possibility to make perfect replicas. So your money will be worthing more, and we all can be happy :)

I'm very frustrated from the fact that I get children buying Kritures and then they break them :( and 1hour to 1.30hours of work goes doomed, and we all become sad. And Kriture is NOT about sadness at all!

I'm already on it, so I did a form that enables you to vote for your favorite Kriture, so I can start the process! It's very important for me as this is a hard working and slow process. Sooner or later they will all be made in the same material, but I need to know on wich ones to start :)

Activity for children

Do you know a child who aspire to be an artist? No? It's okay because they can also enter this activity :)
I'm currently accepting drawings from children that are 7 years old or less.
The drawing that I will choose will be a canvas for an illustration that I will do based on the outlines created by them.

Antithesis is one of the keywords on Kriture project. The final illustration will be an antithesis between the abstract line art made by a child, and the concise and logic decisions of an adult colorizing it.

The result will be close to something very surreal and unique!
This is an idea that I saw once by Sam Nielson, a suberb illustrator btw, and that I totally felt in love with. Below there is an example:

Okay, rules! :D

1- The drawing should have only one color with outlines use fill only if he thinks it needs :)

2- The theme is obviously the world of kriture. Tell him to think about jungle, plants, mountains,animals etc. OR If you know the history of Kriture, why not spend a little time telling them? Inspiration :D

3- The representation of creatures can be original or can be inspired on the kritupedia.

4- Don't worry if it looks to weird, its suppose to be surreal :)
5- I do prefere environment drawings instead of the exemple above.
6- Send your submissions to saveus@kriture.com with the subject "My Drawing". The body should have the description by the artist, please use the exact phrases :D

You can send them until 17th July, the owner of the chosen picture will receive a print with the final illustration signed by me :). The illustration will also be credited with the name of the little artist everywhere. So he can be immortalized ;D

Vingle the Filter Creature

What I do: Usually I walk around hoping to find weird things to put in my mouth
Task: Filter stuff from anything that's edible
Likes: To have clean feet!
Body: Cold, a spike in the head, high sensitivity in the upper lip
Ability: Can walk fast for a Kriture who has no legs
Food: Filter Feeder

This guy can filter a particular ingredient from food. From a berry, he can toss out balls of sugar if he wants. He is currently training to do this with objects, but it seems that he cannot yet distinguish rubber from plastic. Has a very strong stomach and can digest very weird things that he finds.

Há uma série de videos que o Rotrieo B realiza sobre as pérolas existentes na Cidade. Um dos vídeos é sobre o Mercado Quebra Costas realizado aqui em Coimbra, o qual tenho a sorte de pertencer ao restrito número de participantes.

Como tal, sinto-me muito contente e lisonjeada por participar neste mercado, o mundo precisa de originalidade e cor, se os dois combinados fazem alguém sorrir, então a Kriture está a cumprir o seu primeiro objectivo.
Neste mercado tenho oportunidade de ver sorrisos escondidos ou descarados entre olhares para a minha banca, que mesmo quando longínquos fazem-me sentir bem.

Krawm the kriture

Task: Say whatever comes to my mind, because some of my thoughts are really good

Body: Warm, shiny blue bug head, with a big brain
Ability: Say too much random stuff

Krawm is a Kriture who likes to use his brain, it doesn't mean that he has good ideas, but he can talk for many many hours, and most of the time, nobody listen. He talks so much that sometimes he says something intelligent, and some of those ideas are adopted to create things. He can be considered the first Kriture scientist.
His head is too heavy for him to walk, so he usually sits down, and some Kriture needs to bring him food.

Arriving Home

If you remember our last "adventure" you will notice that it's been a while since I've written. Right now we arrived to the place where we live, long story short, meeting Formit wasn't that good. I say this because now, I don't feel safe around Fugjub, who was introduced to us by Formit.

So we followed Formit, always careful, because we didn't knew where we were, but Formit, as always, seemed so happy and with that smiling face of doom.
We arrived to a place with a notorious lack of grass, which is a very uncommon thing around here. There were also some objects that fell from the sky and shrubs with long foliage.

We arrived to Formit's destination, where his friend was waiting... I seriously regret this day. We found a hut that they built together, like if they were married or something. It was full of leaves and soft herbs crossed making a knot between reeds. We never saw that before, that's when I understood that I was in front of two intelligent Kritures, that possibly wanted to fool me.

As soon as Formit's friend saw him, he ran into his arms like a kid missing his mom. That was very weird because this friend is Fugjub, and he has a carnivorous face! It's scary!

When I was introduced, Formit's face and Fugjub's face were an antithesis. One was looking so proud of us, and the other one was totally hating us.

I was scared as hell, and I promptly said that me and my friends wanted to just go home, we didn't want any trouble and we just followed Formit because he said so.
I bet Fugjub was dreaming of us in grilled version at that moment.

Then they both talked for a moment,

...and in the end I was almost forced to carry all their crap to our place. Formit seems to know stuff that we need, and that's why I let them come with us...

And what do we have now? A Kriture who likes to steal food without permission and eat it in a distant place. Damn! The other day, Fugjub was just too lazy to get his own food, so he waited until Glanell arrived with those sweet sweet berries, and "PAW!", he stole them and Lizzle starved.
But at least we have a hut. Well, just Fugjub and Formit sleep there, but Formit said he is going to help us build other kinds of shelters with the objects we've brought. I sure hope so..

Evolution Poster

I know you miss Merilok, but since I'm his creator I think he won't mind if I write some posts here before him :)

Here is the latest poster! It shares some of the features of Kritures during their evolution. This work looks really great on my wall because it has a wide subtle background, it almost looks like the wall has been painted. I have it also as a wallpaper for my desktop and is awesome, makes me feel serene and it looks that all my folders are organized.

Introducing Kriture bugs

Today I will introduce you to Kriture Bugs

In Kriture's world, bugs are obsessed with vanity, they need to feel pretty, and unique.
Each one goes on a search to find jewels and shiny substances to cover their body. The older they get, more classy they become.
They are very competitive, and each have their own secret places to find shiny beads to look absolutely stunning.
They can be found near places with hot colors on the ground, and they are rare to find, an live on the first layer of the Kriture world. All kritures that I had presented live on the second layer, there is where the sky can be seen.
The studs protect them from being eaten and gives them good camouflage.

Hello! Today I present you with the first pack of kriture stickers! They are full of colors, teeth, fur, ears, cuteness and silliness. Best of all is that they are big, and make you smile :D The biggest is Hummo with 3.9" height (10cm), 3"(7,5cm).

This pack features Wittz, Hummo, Fugjub, Merilock, Formit and the sixth one is randomly chosen and its not identical to those already in the pack. Some packs include discount coupons.

I have recently added Fugjub on Patch Toghether so people can vote on him to became a vinyl toy. Among all kritures I think he suits best in the world of vinyl toys. What do you think? :)

Chanossala the four legged cute long necked brown creature

Chanossala was found near ground gaps. She likes to be near wet dirt and foliage, rarely goes out of a shadow when there's grass underneath. Her body is sparkely because mud nutrients stay on her body when she rolls on it.

I just stumbled upon this store, because she stumbled up on kriture first :)
So yes, hearting other people stores on etsy is a good thing, because you make yourself more visible, and hearting stores that are similar to your store is also a good thing, since both can love each other works, that is what just happened here.

I love to see silly dumb animals that are colorful and make me laugh, I can wash away my negative toughs for seconds.

Vega Lyrae is from Spain, and has this really recent project named The Triquimoches. And she does a lovely job doing the plushies, she uses really nice fabrics, and they seem to be soft and warm almost like flannel! I looove that because you can stick them against your face and it's comforting and fluffy, I always sleep with these kind of sheets, pajamas and socks.

She has now on sale on her etsy store two kind of Triquimoches, Furry colored man dressed in colorful fabrics, and ... animal monster alike silly cuties :D

I love the way she nailed it, I used to sew furniture for my dolls, and I think she did a good job capturing volumetric forms on her monsters, principally the Carcolitos that are fluffy colorful snail monsters. They are perfect for decorating a room, they have a nice size, and are available on different colors.

Fugjub is not a bad kriture, he just likes to annoy other kritures. He can feel low sound vibrations and pretend that he's stronger than he actually is, that is how he scares kritures to steal their food, since he doesn't like to search for it.

Falling Objects

As we were finishing our journey across the new world full of new mountains,

Furzz feels something weird, a funny noise coming from above.

Random objects started to fall from the sky. It was literaly raining objects!!!
The girl who lives outside the box must be proud of her imagination, she just found a new way to kill us!!! I don't mind if she make kritures fall into our box, but heavy objects?!

We imediately started to run, and found a place to hide.

As we were trying to avoid a painful death, we saw this weird new kriture named Formit passing by. He was carrying stuff on his back to some place.

We gained some courage, and called him.

"Psst, green stuff? Can you please help us? What is going on??"

"Sure dude! Don't be afraid, I can help you. But first, I need to get to a friend, we are building something and he's waiting for me!"

We were afraid, because he seems to have more legs than usual, and antennas, maybe it could read our brains, or something. So I asked the others if we could trust him for a while, after all he is also one of us, and I should keep an eye on everything and everyone new around here.

He seemed too nice in the first place, and answered promptly as if he knew something we didn't!
So we decided to follow him, but always keeping an eye on him...

And so we did. We found out that he's perfect
for bringing junk with us in our journey! He seems to be very strong and confident. Well, a little too much confident. So, just in case, I'm always checking if anything weird happens with him around.

He brought some really big leaves that we have never seen before, and told us to get wrapped inside them.
At first I was like "no way" but he insisted, and said that it would protect us from cold, bugs and some stuff that could fall again from the sky.

I tottaly knew that all he wanted was to eat us up, I mean really? "Wrap yourself up in these leaves, and go to sleep?" He must think I dont know what a Mc Donald's wrapper is.

Tonight we are sleeping all together, and I will hit him with my mighty scepter as soon as he starts to get funny with us. Because I can, and oh I WILL kick ass.
He got this weird fancy hut to sleep, he must think he's so smart or something. I'll punch him in the face! Anyhow, instead of using the leaf, Dodo just started to eat it. God, I need some new friends...

He has six legs which makes him able to stand more than his own weight. Usually eats the leaves before reaching a destination with them. Guides himself with the antennas, normally he doesn't get lost, he also can carry things with the forelegs, and walk with four at the same time.

First Encounter

Our journey is getting very long and we are very tired, but we have already found Glanell, he has been providing us some food. He can find some delicious berries since he really loves sweet stuff.

We have been camping here and there, trying to bring everything we can with us, but it's getting heavy.

When Furzz was jumping around from gap to gap, he found a strange purple creature between the cracks. He tried to see what was that without being cought but this creature spotted him and started to scream! And we were like "AAAAA" , but then we were like "eeeeeeeew" because he was eating dirt! What a nasty thing to eat! He was disgusting!

For a moment we stared at each other and tried to stay calm. Hummo was his name, he's a pacific kriture, a little too disgusting for some of us, but he told us he could make the air clearer by eating soil. So, I don't care if he eats dirt, we need eco friendly mates in our crew!

Hummo has six atmospheric geysers at the back that helps renewing oxygen. He needs to eat soil substances like clay, so he can get phosphorus from the soil and produce new oxygen. He doesn't like them, so he would like to have a backpack to hide it.

Artmind - 99feelings

Mistry Sleurs, from Belgium, Europe, has catched my attention. She has a unique project named 99feelings. The project is about 99 separate sculptures that reflect different emotions, they are 8cm or 3,15 inches in hight.

Mitsy used the shape of a babushka doll as the blank canvas for her imagination. Then added adorns that reflect emotions, what is very cool is the fact that even bad emotions seem to be nice, and their simplicity speaks beauty. When I first saw these pieces I thought they might be nice for blind people, because they have more accurate sense of touch then us, maybe they whould have a different experience then us.

First Rescue

We started our journey two days ago. How do we count days? Well, we don't use a clock yet, but I have wireless internet, so yeah, that's how.

We started to get Dodo after the "cataclysm", the way he talks was driving me crazy, he was panicking from being stuck and alone all this time.

Then we remembered to save Hector, by going to the half of the puddle that was away from him, grabbed all the mud that we could, and we threw it to the other half of the puddle where Hector was. This was actually our first rescue mission, since Hector could die from dehydration! After this, we left him behind because he has squishy and small tentacles that are useless out of water, and anyways, he can't leave the puddle.
Then, me, Furzz, Beevs, Dodo and started to search for other kritures, some of the missing ones, like Glanell, are essential to our survival. It's not the best crew, since the only capable of helping is Furzz. Dodo seems brainless and Beevs is always too bored to do anything at all.

When we had no way to climb the high ground gaps, Furzz helped, he is really agile! We were amazed to see tree sprouts between the gaps! Since we don't have trees yet, Beevs and Furzz suddenly got crazy because they are xylophagous, they eat wood, and those sprouts could mean new food for them!

We didn't had a weird encounter with unknown stuff yet, we just got to this nice place where we'll stay for the night, and I really hope this piece of land doesn't move while we're sleeping. Cya in two days.

Preparation for The Search

We have lost some of our stuff, like the camera i used to take pics with... Some other unknown objects that some of us adore for some reason are missing too. We are gathering some resources to begin our search for those objects and Kritures.  

I don't really like to go to strange places... we already did a walk around this world and there was nothing that much interesting to see. But now that there are new gaps, there will be new places to seek, and we are afraid of what we can find. I have learned recently, from google, that there is cannibalism. We hope we don't find some cannibal, besides, I don't think that we are tasty anyway. We just eat crap, there is not much to choose from.

New landscape

We got lost from each other. Some cracks separated some of us ... and we need each other to live normally. I can see Dodo there, he got stuck on a piece of ground that is now high and far from everyone. He is very confused, and speaks with himself (even if he was speaking to us, we could not understand one bit, his dialect is weeeeeeeird).

urzz also became stuck in a hole, but he is very active and he got immediately out of there. We asked him to help Dodo, but Dodo is too heavy...

Hector had his mud puddle split! Luckily he got half of it to rub on, but if the puddle was small before, now it got smaller, and the other half, will dry, because there is no one there who can mix it.
You see, Hector's job is to keep the mud puddle wet, maybe it will be needed some time.
In addition, if the pond where Hector lives dries, he may die from dehydration!

This transformation on the ground was very abrupt and it was very dangerous, we still have some kritures lost.

Mountains and Rocks

Its been very hard to keep the updates, because there was a catastrophe in our world!
Im glad i didn't got injured!

At first there was everything ok.

Then it started to shake

and then it broke, and part of it started to move up, opening gaps some times

Then everything stopped, so we slowly looked at lines of the new world, and started to think of all things we got lost.

And we were sad! we liked how the world was, all smooth, without any kind of danger. Who knows what else can emerge from the new sides of edges? NO NO, it can't be! All our collected stuff, all our food, separated from us!

But soon every one forgot of the new dangers and the lost food. Because some of us can not adapt our mental function to normal behavior in logical situations. That's why i call them Stupid.

Its pretty sunny here, the bright light shines on everything and makes them shinier. Everybody is feeling lazy, we are not used to have such a bright and hot day.  

Glanell is the only one who can't feel the heat. When the weather is hot like this, his body starts to get cold and he gets chilblains, thats why our friend Lizzy is knitting gloves on such a hot day.  

At least when the weather is very cold, he's warm, and we can warm ourselves if we stay close.

There is some strange stuff going up in the sky. They say they are cold. Since I don't feel much, I need to worry about them.  

Wind blows sometimes, which is weird because I don't know where it comes from. I bet the thingy that blows wind is friend to the thingy that gives us light... As soon as I get a kriture that flies, I will go there, and spank them with my mighty screw scepter. What is the wind for?

Source of Light

We have a source of light, its name is not sun, and I didn't gave it a name yet, simply because it may just be the box a little opened.  I have read about your sun, which is distant from the planet Earth, and warms it.  

I think our light source is not far, it might be a thing that flies all day and rests at night. It must be its job, fly all day. It should come down here and take us to the top! I have to contact it, maybe it has email or something.  
As for the heat that goes on during the time of light, I think that's because we live inside a cardboard box... Or its black on the outside, and the generated heat is cooking us up.   Other kritures say I'm stupid and illogical, but I do know, because I'm in charge.

Tasty Herb

Today, I started writing the encyclopedia of kritures of this box. I will write a little about what we eat around here.  It is a plant, simple, green. Born in three days and dies in five. That is why we still have food.  

It is very tasty in comparison with other herbs out there, which are only 5 species. It's sweet at the first tongue touch, but the velvet texture doesn't taste so good and that is why some of us don't like the taste, but the rest of the herbs are awful, and, of course, we eat what tastes better.

We can't eat too much of it because it leaves us with stomach ache. That is an inconvenience for those who have hunger like Beevs. After a meal, he disappears, and goes to a hidden place. He must think we don't know what he does eh.

Hello! As said before, here I am caught by surprise with a hidden camera. I was not laughing on purpose, of course, that's narcissism. 
Anyway, I will present myself since no one knows neither what I am nor what I do. 

Name: I'm Merilock, but I like the Sir first. Only because it has sovereignty appeal.
What I do: I am the leader of kritures, I got here first, I'm smarter and more beautiful.
Task: I write this blog and command others.
Likes: Now that I found a scepter, I know I like to support myself on it and poke people with it.
Body: I think you probably think that I'm a bad guy who beats people up just because I'm black and blue. Allow me to explain:
That fluffy thing, it is not a jacket, (bet you thought it was) its fur, and its black because it absorbs all light energy, therefore, I feel more warm.
My body is not blue, but the body parts that are uncovered by fur are blue because I am an extremely cold being, even in the heat days.
Ability: ~~Cocky~~ ,intelligent!
Food: Omnivore, but I prefer herbs.

Merilock is a very cocky kriture, he has an evil side in his heart as you can see. He is the leader of Kritures, and he is the one who writes down the Kriture's blog, because he is the only one who can communicate with us. He is the largest kriture known.

Camera

We found a camera! This ecosystem is developing quickly, We should have a name for everything soon.  We need to create an encyclopedia, with plants, animals and objects that have fallen.  I have pointed out notes about our findings, but now with this wonder, I can shoot the kriture in question and become more pro! As soon as I can, I will post here my picture with my mighty scepter.  See if I make a myspace page for me then.

Designing Kriture - true story

One day I decided to give a customized paper toy and box to a friend. I had no idea of what was coming out of my head, as usual, I just started creating illustrations for the packaging and let ideas flow. And while I was doing this, I began to imagine all the things those colors reminded me, a fully dimensional world, sound, smell, and all the feelings that I felt right there, created kriture.  It has happened some times but I was too young to get things done. 

As you can see, the idea was pretty fast to get, but the corporate image was not that easy. I had no time, I was in a course directed by the newcomer of the current election of Coimbra, so I sketched molded and folded creatures, logos and names when I could.

The class was always appearing at the city's newspaper, maybe some sketches were immortalized there :D.  So I decided to put it on my portfolio, and I thought it would be nice to share the box, and a true story.

The Beginning

This is the main scenery outside the kriture world, that is how the box and the room looks like.
I found it pretty hard to express myself when I describe this world by words, so this is the best way I got to show you what I mean.  

You can see the light sparks flying away from the inside of the box. These sparks appear when an idea drops in.  

Outside represents the monochromatic and unknown, inside stands for color and energy inside a new whole world.

Chapter I

Odyssey around the Box

We have been walking for some days around this box. It is confirmed that it has no edges. So maybe it is a round box. We spend 5 days walking until we reach the same spot.

There was always the same green grass, until we saw a bush with some juicy stuff hanging, I didn't taste it though, because Dodo was starving and started to eat them all.

As we were trying to reach our main spot, we saw some other equal bushes. The stuff hanging was so good, that we didn't saved any for later. Now that I think about that, we should get there again and bring some to our home spot... because this grass is making me nauseous.

I got a new scepter! I found it near some bitter herbs. It has a long helical body connected to a pin shaped head. It is shinny, grey and unbreakable. I can poke other kritures and also hurt them. It also supports me when I'm walking. I used it a lot in our travel. So far, it is very useful.

Looking for new food

We have been searching for new food, instead of the regular grass we eat. It seems that no new food is around. Luckily, we are all herbivores. Maybe if we pray, more food will fall, I don't think things grow around here. It has to be invented first by her. Should I invent religion? Maybe the girl has another girl creating things for the human life?

How it started

Let me introduce myself first, as the leader of kriture. I am the leader of kriture because I am smarter, cuter, and I can blog. yeah!  

Our story started when I woke up inside an empty and dark box. It was added a blue sky, clouds, grass, and the edges and corners became a wide world that seems to have no end.
The sky horizon has now a yellow gradient.   I can hear a girl outside our world, and I know that when she starts the process of creative thinking, babbling, writing, drawing, disasters happens!

Things start falling from the sky! Our normal clouds got holes, because of all things that had fallen!

Some things are just objects that I cant understand, others, are botanic or fauna, just like me. The only one good thing that was created, was a computer. And I use it, and her wireless internet service, to keep an online diary of what is happening here.
To tell everyone that this girl, is keeping us away from our rights, and trapping us in a cage!   So I beg you to keep in touch, subscribe and get us out of here!

Dodo likes to talk to himself, and he is often alone because he speaks in a weird dialect. No one understands him, besides himself. He made a recent friend, Emaios, they both seem to be two confused Kritures but they manage to have fun together. Dodo often sings, but some say it's very annoying.

Kriture is an idea which is stored in a box

A Kriture is an idea which is stored in a box by a girl, in a dark room. She stored so many of them, that life was created out of those ideas!

Fauna and Flora born for the first time in a surreal world of Kriture, its like going back 2 billion years ago, but in another place :D

Kriture is about wildlife and botany born for the first time in a surreal world. Is like going back 2 billion years ago, but in another world!
But they don't want to be closed in that box, because they know that our world exists out of it.

They will try everything to climb the Surreal Box without edges, they will grow and develop new ways to get out, and just like us, their body will change to that purpose.
New kritures and objects will fall from the sky, and they will understand how to use them, and survive or not :D

Among all Kritures, one of them is considered the Leader. Because he is smarter, and knows how to blog. This blog, is written by him so you can read chapters of a growing civilization like a book in first person! When you see a blue footprint below a post, it was him! Read the first post of all.

The following info is applied to all necklaces listed on this page.

All pendents have 2 sides, one side has an illustration, second side, Kriture logo.
It's easy having the first side always on top. Just close the necklace in the right way.

The chains are about 17.5 inches, and the pendent is about 1 inch.
Although the pendant is water resistant, it is not water proof. Avoid the shower or pool while wearing it.
